Tuition cost is $100 and you will be shooting 100 rounds of your own ammunition.

This class is for the shooter who has a pistol at home for personal protection. At the completion of this course, you will be better prepared to defend yourself and family with a pistol while in your home. This is a beginners basic class and you will be taught a working knowledge of the handgun. You will not need a Indiana Handgun License to take this class.

Firearms Safety including home storage
Legal issues related to the use of the firearm
Safe use of the firearm for personal protection
Shot placement on the human body for maximum effectiveness
Bullet demonstration and selection for self-defense

Bring your own pistol, two magazines, great attitude, and 100 rounds of factory ammo.

You can borrow a pistol from me for no extra cost. Please advise at registration and you will need to provide your own ammo.

Let us give you the shooting skills and thought process needed to defend yourself and family from those who would plan to harm you. Our classes are small in participant size, so that each student gets the proper instruction time and attention needed.

GFA Trauma Casualty and Care

Saturday December 7, 2019 Cloverdale Conservation Club

8am-12pm (class size limited)

$125, 4 hours of training. ($100 for members of the CCC) $50 deposit.

This course is for those wanting training objectives in medical education and application of trauma care including gun shot wounds in various emergency situations, incidents, and environments. This training can not only save your life but the lives of those around you.

*Students will leave class with a trauma kit including a tourniquet, pressure bandage, and chest seal.*

Course Objectives:

Overview of the history, science and evolution of TCC.

Types of injuries and applicable TCC interventions to improve survival including developing hands-on proficiency with: Bleeding control of both arterial and other blood loss.

Recognition and simple management of chest and torso injury including gunshot wounds.

Simple airway management and body positioning.

Recognition and simple management of shock and prevention of hypothermia.

Hands-on training for TCC interventions to include: tourniquets, wound packing, compression bandages, chest seals, hypothermia prevention.

**All Medical Equipment used during the class will be provided by the instructor.**

 

 

GFA Level 2 Trauma Casualty and Care under fire.

This course is for those wanting training objectives in medical education and application of trauma care including gunshot wounds in various emergency situations, incidents, and environments. This training can not only save your life but the lives of those around you.

*Students will leave class with a patient litter for moving victims to vehicles or a safe location.*

Course Objectives:

Review types of injuries and applicable TCC interventions to improve survival including developing hands-on proficiency with: Bleeding control of both arterial and other blood loss, chest punctures and other trauma to the body.

Efficient patient movement. This will include scenario based training with the student learning to protect themselves and others by returning gunfire (simuntions guns) on their adversary.

Hands-on training and review for TCC interventions to include: tourniquets, wound packing, compression bandages, chest seals, hypothermia prevention.

**All Medical Equipment used during the class will be provided by the instructor.**

Defensive Carry Pistol

Cost is $150 and you will be shooting 500 rounds of ammunition. $50 deposit with registration.

This class is for the shooter who is going to carry a pistol for personal protection. At the completion of this course, you will be better prepared to defend yourself and family with a pistol from your person or while in your home. You should have a working knowledge of the handgun before this class. This class has a high round count, and the student should be ready to be physically active for the entire class.

Issues discussed and shooting activities:

Firearms Safety including home storage
Legal issues related to the use of the firearm
Safe use of the firearm for personal protection
Malfunction clearing
Carrying and deployment of the pistol

Shot placement on the human body for maximum effectiveness

Bullet demonstration and selection for self-defense

Moving and shooting

Bring your own defensive pistol (38 spl/9mm or larger caliber), a quality carry holster (no nylon holster that closes when empty), four magazine, magazine belt holder, great attitude and 400 rounds of factory ammo.

GFA Designated Marksman Class

Saturday June 1, 2019 $200 Lebanon Police Dept. Range SOLD OUT

Saturday October 5, 2019 9am-6pm $200 Lebanon Police Dept. Range

*Limited to 8 students. $50 deposit with registration.

This class will be geared toward the responsible citizen or officer who has already received training with the standard AR15 rifle and is now wanting training directives and qualification with a low powered scoped AR15 type platform of rifle. The range of engagements and qualification will be 15-200 yards. This is not an introduction to the AR, please have a working knowledge of the platform before attending.

Course Objectives we will meet are:

DM weapons system abilities and limitations.

DM optics fundamentals and zeroing.

Understanding of Your external ballistics and range factors.

Supported and unsupported shooting positions for qualification.

Range estimation in the field.

*This is a 9 hour class, we have planned to get the most out a full training day with your scoped rifle. Come spend a great day of running that scoped rifle.

Equipment requirements: AR type rifle in any centerfire caliber capable of 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards. Magnified optic mounted securely on a flattop upper (I would recommend variable power under 10x with no external turrets or adjustable objective, not a sniper class). A bipod mounted to the forearm of the rifle. Sling and at least (2) 20 round and (1) 30 round magazines. Clothing for the climate including headgear. Eye and ear protection. Snacks and water on the range. Note taking material. 300 rounds of quality ammo. Hours are LETB certified.

This class is for those who have purchased a magazine fed rifle and wish to learn how to deploy it for personal protection. This class has a high round count, and the student should be ready to be physically active for the entire class. Shooter Safety is of high importance with this firearm, and attention to detail is very important. The student must be prepared to adhere to a strict muzzle disciple/control regiment.

Issues discussed and shooting activities:

Firearms Safety including home storage
Common rifle malfunctions and discussion
Sighting in the rifle for defensive use
Legal issues related to the use of the firearm
Safe use of the firearm in personal protection
Carrying and deployment of the rifle/Slings and their limitations
Shot placement on the human body for maximum effectiveness
Use of the mounted light
Shooting positions with cover
Moving and shooting
Search techniques for your residence


Bring your own magazine fed rifle (AR-15, AK-47, Mini 14, etc…), five magazines, magazine belt pouch, sling, weapon mounted is recommended, cleaning kit, great attitude and 400 rounds of factory ammo.

Pistol Home Defense Alumni Shoot

$80 and 100 rounds of ammo for class.

Only open to those who have taken a Basic Pistol class from us. (Limited to first 10 registrations received)

We will be signing waivers and heading out on the range for some tune up drills and then jump into one handed (flashlight) shooting, and use of cover drills to improve your ability to survive an incident in the home. You will need to fill out a registration form and send it in with a tuition deposit to hold your spot.

Use of the flashlight with low light fire

Moving Target at night.

Student requirement: GFA Defensive Carry Pistol and Defensive Rifle, Alumni Only.

The equipment for this class is the same as the Defensive Pistol and Carbine, PLUS A LIGHTS

 


Shotgun Home Defense

This class is for those who have purchased a shotgun, want to know how it works, and how to deploy it for personal protection. We will focus on the use, characteristics, and reloading of this fantastic firearm for personal defense.

Issues discussed and shooting activities:

Safe use of the firearm in personal protection
Malfunction clearing
Ammunition maintenance for the shotgun
Shot placement on the human body for maximum effectiveness
Shooting positions with cover

Shotgun ammunition characteristics and choice

Bring your own pump action or semi-auto shotgun; belt pouch to load ammo from, great attitude and 200 rounds bird shot, 5 slugs, 5 buckshot, all factory ammo, reduced recoil is OK for class.
